We believe that success starts with a sound team and that an inclusive and diverse workplace moves us all forward.WHAT YOULL DOThe Onsite Support Technician will work in partnership with the customer, management team, global helpdesk, and service teams to provide on premises support for AVI-SPL customers at customer site(s) with the end goals of delivering a world-class Customer Service experience.The Support Technician is identified as a Tech 1 (T1) position intended to provide direct end-user support in the operation of the systems. In addition, the AV Support Technician will possess the training and experience to resolve minor problems and perform clean, inspect and readiness checks on systems as part of the routine preventive maintenance process.Day-To-Day Responsibilities:Operate and test daily functionality of all AV and integrated conference roomsPerform routine testing and problem diagnosis for projectors, microphones, speakers, amplifiers & LCD/Plasma DisplaysPerform preventative maintenance to resolve problem or identify resolution to appropriate vendor or manufacturerTroubleshoot AVN problems last minute as required as well as non-critical situationsAssist with company meetings/functions that require use of AV infrastructure (audio, video conferencing, webcasting, visual display or projection, and control system - AMX, Crestron operations)Interact with client Customer Help Desk ticketing system to respond to end user requestsCoordinates with client staff to determine AV basic infrastructure requirements for any new conference room or media designSetup and breakdown of all onsite meetingsDaily system testing to ensure equipment and room functionalityResponsible for escalating all "next level" break fix issues to their manager for resolutionPerform remote testing for local and regional officesEnsure all AVS spaces are presentable for useOther duties assigned as needed

Items to Consider:AVI-SPL reserves the right to alter work hours and work location as necessary. Work hours may vary based on client requirements and may include travel to various locations in support of the account.This position will generally work on customer sites and may deal with a construction site type of work environment.WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR

Must-Haves:Effective communication and interaction with employees, clients, and colleagues and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organizationAbility to test equipment and perform basic troubleshootingAbility to work and think independently and ensuring to meet deadlinesBasic computer knowledgeKnowledge of basic signal flow for audio, video and controlAbility to balance multiple tasks with changing prioritiesStrong organizational skills and excellent attention to detailExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and writtenDemonstrated customer service focus and client communication skillsValid Drivers License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL driving standardMinimum of a High School Diploma or equivalentMust be flexible to work after hours and weekends when requiredAbility to regularly climb and work from ladders, lifting equipment, tools and materialsEducation and/or Experience:Minimum high school diploma or equivalentDemonstrated working knowledge of AV practices and proceduresVideoconferencing experience including operation, call set-up and equipmentKnowledge of AV Control experience including Crestron, Extron, and/or AMX a plusAV Support in Corporate, Event facility spaces a plusExperience and knowledge of Zoom Conferencing Platform a plusServiceNow platform knowledge a plusPhysical RequirementsThe physical demands of this position are those that are necessary to meet the responsibilities and essential functions of this position.
