The Audio Visual Technician Level 2 manages, maintains and is responsible for all service and repairs of audio visual and integrated conference room components / equipment. This role interfaces directly with the Client on a daily basis and his / her responsibilities include maintaining daily functionality of all audio visual and integrated conference rooms.Day-To-Day Responsibilities:Setup/breakdown of conference spaces to meet the customers event needsPerform preventative maintenance task to help maintain customer spacesPerform support tasks in a timely and quality conscious mannerProvide support of networked devicesCollaborate with internal/external teams in a professional manner that reflects the values of AVI-SPLUnderstand and adhere to local safety standards for all site dutiesProvide job site documentation and end user training as neededSetup and troubleshoot various audio/video/presentation systems.Travel to various job sites as required
Required Skills:
At a minimum, the Audio-Visual Technician Level 2 will possess the following skills:Able to perform routine testing and problem diagnosis for audio visual technologies.Troubleshoot escalated issues from Audio Visual Technician Level 1 until resolved or escalated to a Level 3 technician.Ability to read and utilize blueprints and audio / video flow diagrams.Perform network troubleshooting to diagnose static and dynamic IP addresses.Perform remote troubleshooting for local and regional offices,Interface with original equipment manufacturers, developers, engineers, and project managers to provide resolutions for highly complex systems.Edit software code using audio mixer software to calibrate digital signal processor technology and eliminate echo and feedbackGather and analyze system logs and system settings for codecs, control systems, mixers, and complex broadcast equipment as needed.Conduct simple installsProvide reports and adhere to metrics outlinedAdditional tasks as assigned
Items to Consider:
AVI-SPL reserves the right to alter work hours and work location as necessary. Work hours may vary based on client requirements and may include travel to various locations in support of the account.This position will generally work on customer sites and may deal with a construction site type of work environment.
