PolicyFollow verbal and written instructionsOperate controls for leveler/butt welderSet up butt welder for each gauge of material; weld coil ends togetherIdentify butt welds, gauge changes, and coil numbers with paintKeep accumulator loaded with sufficient steel supply to run mill continuouslyFill out all operating reports and quality reports as requiredEmpty all scrap bucketsAssist in mill changeoversReport any irregularities or malfunctions to managers and/or maintenanceAssist maintenance in making repairsAssist other operators when required during breakdowns, bottlenecks, and scheduled downtimeMaintain a clean and safe work areaOther duties as assignedPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSHigh School Diploma/GEDBasic Computer KnowledgeWelding ExperienceHi-Lo License/Crane License PreferredRegular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance per the posted schedule is an essential function of this roleLead and promote health and safety work practices as required by regulatory agencies and company policyJob Footer (US) :Zekelman Industries offers competitive compensation and excellent benefits, including low-cost, high-quality medical and dental benefits.?
