Position SummaryThe Yard Goat Operator will will drive and maneuver yard goat & trailers from dock to dock switching out empty trailers with full trailers.
Position Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Complete daily inspection of the Yard Goat vehicle looking for damages, oil leaks, etc. Inspection records to be turned in dailyNotes all malfunctions, reported to the immediate Supervisor/Manager prior to operating the YGT. A "Lockout tag" should be placed inside the vehicle until a professional inspects it.Move trailers to specified doors or lot locationsInspect trailers for defects, pre/post tri and submit inspection report indicating conditionInspect loaded trailers to ensure product is secure for undamaged transport of product.Drive tractor-trailer within yard or within short distances outside of yardDrive Tractor, maneuvering into position to attach trailer and handle lines to secureQualifications
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent. 1-2 years experience operating a yard goat in a fast paced, warehouse environment. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have experience in Microsoft Office programs.
Certificates and Licenses:
None Required
Position Hiring Range
The hiring pay range provides a guide for what we would reasonably pay for the position. Pay will be determined by several factors, including but not limited to: applicant's education, relevant work experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with geographic market data. Living Spaces reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Pay is determined by various factors including market demand, applicable skills, work experience and education, location, company budget, and in-demand skill sets.
Compensation: $20.35 - $26.45
Retail, Guest Services, and Distribution Center Team Members are eligible to receive team bonus based on meeting specific goals and KPI's.
