Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Guaranteed Hours: Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Registered Nurse (RN) License Certifications: - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)- Basic Life Support (BLS)- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Must-Have: - LVAD experience- Post CABG experience- Stroke patient care experience (neuro checks) Job Description: - Work in a 24-bed Progressive Care Unit with a focus on team-oriented and flexible care.- Participate in patient care with a 3:1 primary nursing care ratio.- Adhere to unit guidelines: Arrive on time (06:45), dress code in navy scrubs, and complete necessary forms if unable to take a lunch break.- Engage with a team comprised of 1 Charge Nurse Coordinator (CNC), 8 Registered Nurses (RNs), and 1 day manager and educator.- Commit to working 4 weekend shifts per schedule (i.e., 2 weekends per 4-week schedule).- Utilize Meditech electronic medical records for patient documentation.- Contribute to a supportive and professional environment, enhancing the overall patient experience.- Embrace continuing education opportunities and new technologies to improve patient care.- Be open to permanent positions if available and desired.
