The City of Steamboat Springs has a fun seasonal position at Howelsen Hill as a Lift Operator! This position starts at $21.12/hour and applicant must be available to work weekends.

Seasonal employees are eligible for option 1:

$3/hour end of season bonus

based on total hours worked

OR option 2: for those working 20 hours or more per week are eligible for a

Steamboat Resort Merchant Pass

paid for by the City of Steamboat Springs plus a

$1/hour end of season bonus

based on total hours worked

in lieu of option 1 (employees' choice) . All employees of Howelsen Hill will be eligible to participate in the

Real Deal , allowing employees to ski at most ski areas in CO.

Responsible for the safety of our guests while they are loading, riding, and unloading our ski lifts.The qualified individual

Serves as an ambassador of the City of Steamboat Springs and upholds City values of Service, Teamwork, Integrity, Well-being, Respect and Compassion, while espousing safety at all times.

Ability to work for extended periods of time outside in winter conditions.We are seeking the following qualifications

Salary range is $21.12 - $25.67/hr. and placement within the range is dependent upon qualifications and experience.

The City of Steamboat Springs offers Seasonal employees who work 20 hours a week or more limited benefits as part of their total compensation package. These benefits are in addition to mandated benefits such as: workers' compensation, unemployment insurance, and social security.
