Job Description
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):Accurately interpret and read intermediate drawings using Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T)Perform complex measurements with the use of all hand toolsPerform general measurements using CMM, Keyence, etcOversee intermediate to complex in-process, visual, receiving, FAI and final inspectionProduce detailed documentation (inspection reports, NCRs, etc)Work with the QA department to ensure that good quality work is always being performedEssential Skills:
Prior experience with CMM programming (Coordinate Measuring Machine)Prior knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T)Knowledge of all hand tools (Calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, etc)Knowledgeable and skilled in QC work with mechanical partsPrior experience with Keyence/noncontact inspection equipment is a plus!Leadership:
Display initiative to follow up and resolve problems seen in the field and always willing to bring ideas to the tableTeamwork:
Wonderful team player with a great attitude, willing to learn and grow in their roleAttention to detail:
High attention to detail is required to perform accurate measurementsGood knowledge of Mircosoft products such as Excel, word, and outlook.Qualifications:
3+ years of experience as a mechanical inspectorASQ, CQI or equivalent certification is a plusWork Environment & Physical Demands
Continuously required to work with your hands and fingers to handle, feel and operate computer, phone and other tools as neededAbility to reach with hand and armsFrequently required to stand, walk, sit and communicate with other departments/personnelNormal to corrected vision is requiredAbility to lift up to 30 lbs. as needed
