Job Summary
The Senior JIB Accountant will be responsible for the company's monthly Joint Interest Billing activity and coordination of joint ventures in accordance to Joint Operating and Production Sharing Agreements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.Be responsible for executing the Joint Interest Billing cyclePrepare monthly joint Interest billings and cash callsPrepare manual overhead entriesWork closely with Business unit managers to ensure consistency in reportingUpdate and maintain property and cost allocationsDevelop all necessary knowledge of all joint operating and production sharing agreementsEnsure compliance with legislation and requirements of the authoritiesEnsure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, internal policies, and external joint operating and production sharing agreementsCoordinate partner audits of operated joint venturesParticipate as needed in audits of non-operated joint venturesEnsure JIB receivables are reconciled and collected on a timely basis
