As a Senior Construction Manager, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Overseeing all stages of project life cycle management from initiation to completion.
- Ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Developing and managing detailed project schedules and work plans.
- Providing project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.
- Utilizing industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout the entire project execution.
- Coordinating and managing contractors, subcontractors, and project teams.
- Ensuring quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
- Managing risks and issues and take corrective measurements.
- Coordinating the efforts of all parties involved in the project, which include the architects, consultants, contractors, sub-contractors and laborers.
- Ensuring all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, city guidelines, and local and state regulations are met.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the position of Senior Construction Manager will possess the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, with a specific focus on ground up, multifamily construction projects.
- Proven working experience in construction management including record of successful project completion.
- Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
- Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
- Competent in conflict and crisis management.
- Excellent time and project management skills.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead a team and manage contractors and subcontractors.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field is preferred.
- Relevant certification such as Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) will be an advantage.
- Ability to plan and see the “big picture”.
- Proficient in construction management software packages.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
