Salary: $125,000 - $145,000 per year

A top 3 nationwide multifamily builder, established for over a decade, seeks to add a Senior Superintendent to their newly opened office in Salt Lake City. With the launch of their new division in Utah, they are gearing up for a major project set to begin in January 2025: a 360-unit wood-frame wrap located in Downtown Salt Lake City.

The ideal candidate will have a rich history and relationships with local subs and GCs. The goal is for this Senior Superintendent to grow into a General Superintendent position within the next 3 years.

Job Details:

Are you a seasoned construction professional with a passion for building something meaningful? We are seeking a Permanent Construction Senior Superintendent - Multifamily, who will be instrumental in leading the construction of our multifamily projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing all phases of construction projects, with a specific focus on Podium Wrap, Wood Frame, and Garden Style Apartments.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Construction Senior Superintendent - Multifamily, you will be responsible for:

1. Overseeing all aspects of construction project from planning to implementation.
2. Managing day-to-day field activities to ensure that project milestone dates and overall schedule completion date is met.
3. Coordinating and supervising all construction activities, including subcontractors and personnel.
4. Ensuring quality standards are met, and that the work performed complies with all relevant codes and regulations.
5. Directly supervising, coordinating, and scheduling the activities of construction crews.
6. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, architects, and subcontractors.
7. Conducting regular site inspections to ensure safety and quality standards are maintained.
8. Identifying and resolving any potential issues, delays, or problems on site.
9. Preparing and submitting project reports, and ensuring all project documentation is accurate and up to date.
10. Conducting and/or attending pre-construction, progress, and other project and staff meetings.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent, specifically in multifamily construction.
2. Proven experience with Podium Wrap, Wood Frame, and Garden Style Apartments.
3. A strong understanding of construction procedures, building codes, and safety regulations.
4. Exceptional leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
5. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
7. Proficiency in construction software and technology.
8. A degree in construction management, engineering, or related field is preferred.
9. Certifications relating to construction safety and training are an asset.
