3.5% effective December 22, 2024.Educational Incentive:

An educational incentive of 2.5% for completion of an associate degree, 3.5% for completion of a bachelor's degree, OR 5% for completion of a graduate degree.Bilingual Incentive:

Some positions may be eligible for bilingual incentive depending on the applicable memorandum of agreement and the needs of the department.Vacation Accrual:

New regular, full-time employees shall accrue approximately 14 days of vacation a year for the first 10,400 hours or 5 years of service; vacation accruals increase at 5, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 20 years of service topping out at 26 days a year and 400 hours of vacation hours banked.Deferred Compensation:

Eligible to participate in the County's 401(k) Shared Savings Plan and/or the Section 457 Plan. This position is eligible for up to a 3% match on your 401(k) contributions.Health Plans:

You are afforded a flexible credit allowance for purchasing medical, dental, and/or vision insurance from a group of authorized plans.Pension Plan:

12 paid days per year which includes a scheduled floating holiday.Job Summary:Under general supervision Office Systems Coordinator I (OSC I) or direction Office Systems Coordinator II (OSC II), provides technical assistance to department/agency personnel by supporting and coordinating tasks related to office automation systems, including but not limited to Microsoft Windows OS and macOS.Distinguishing Characteristics:The Office Systems Coordinator I requires a working ability to perform feasibility studies, problem analysis, conceptual systems design, micro-computer programming, occasional systems maintenance and repair, analysis and recommendations for purchase of new equipment and vendor liaison. It differs from the Office Systems Coordinator II in that the latter is assigned a greater scope of responsibilities and exercises more independent judgment.Department/Agency:

ContinuousDuties Include:

Provides technical assistance for the installation, troubleshooting and configuration of Microsoft and macOS; and mobile application for Microsoft, iOS and android.Coordinates software product and hardware configuration and installation of individual personal computers and/or local area networks and data communications.Assists with vendor liaison and coordinates technical evaluation of products.Analyzes, designs, and develops micro-computer programs.May train department/agency personnel on automated office systems use.Develops systems procedures for department/agency users.Performs other related duties as assigned.Education, Training and Experience:

Some OSC I to considerable OSC II experience in automated office systems coordination which has led to the acquisition of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities which can be obtained by completion of pertinent office systems coursework and two (2) or more years of related experience for OSC I or three (3) or more years of related experience for OSC II.Necessary Special Requirement:Depending on assignment, a valid California driver license may be required. Prior to actual appointment from the eligible list, the successful candidate will be required to pass a thorough background investigation conducted by the Sheriff's Background Unit, which includes a polygraph and medical examination.Desirable:Possession of an A+ Certification and/or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) Certificate.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Working OSC I to thorough OSC II knowledge of modern office procedures and automated equipment, micro-computer programming and systems design, software and hardware products and their use in office automation, Microsoft Windows OS and macOS devices, mobile devices and application for Microsoft, iOS and android. Working ability to perform abstract reasoning; perform minor systems maintenance/repairs; develop independence in the responsible performance of assigned duties; develop and maintain effective working relations with others; understand and work with personal business computers in the office environment; communicate effectively verbally and in writing; and perform analysis and programming tasks for the purpose of automating office procedures.Supplemental Information:Work is performed primarily in an office environment. May be required to lift up to 50 pounds. May require travel to various customer sites within Ventura County.Final Filing Date:
