POSITION SUMMARY:The Global Foundations, Organizations, and Institutions (GFOI) Project Specialist (GPS) serves as a key resource to a team of global fundraisers working to steward gifts from large-scale institutional donors like USAID, European Commission, and Rockefeller Foundation. The GPS serves as a key resource to the Global Foundations, Organization & Institutional (GFOI) team, including coordination of interns and supporting role to the VP-GFOI by coordinating and implementing internal business processes.

The GPS will report to the VP-GFOI Vice President of Global Foundations, Organizations, and support a group of talented fundraisers committed to the collective Habitat vision of creating a world where everyone has a decent place to live. This position will expose the GPS to programs and teams across the Habitat network as well as serve as an introduction to the world of institutional fundraising and partnerships. The specialist will work collaboratively across the Habitat network and engage with many internal and external stakeholders to advance partnerships, strengthen institutional fundraising pipelines, and improve productivity within the team.

This GPS is essential for the smooth and efficient operation of key projects and initiatives within the GFOI Unit. This role will promote a level of efficiency in GFOIs tools, processes, and support FOI capacity building to Habitat internal stakeholders. GFOI is an adaptive learning team, and the GPS will play a role of capturing all learnings, contribute to after-action reviews and lead the development of bi-annual after-action review reports and review of GFOI’s tools and adapting them accordingly.

The Project Specialist will spend 30 – 50% of their time leading GFOI projects, and the remaining time supporting the VP-GFOI and coordinating interns.

This position will be based at the administrative headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia with a hybrid work schedule, and requires 10% travel within the U.S.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead and support strategic projects and priorities as assigned by VP-GFOI, including internal business processes, donor strategies, and partnership cultivation.Serve as Habitat’s gatekeeper for all things Global FOI, liaising with key internal and external stakeholders on GFOI projects and maintaining the GFOI site in the International Knowledge Center.Monitor and maintain the accuracy of GFOI activity logged in Habitat’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.Support the VP-GFOI by coordinating and implementing internal business processes, including leading pipeline management, coordination of monthly meetings, preparing regular reporting, and serving as GFOI point person for CRM.Support GFOI Administrative duties: Serve as lead with purchasing training and coordinating with legal to complete Professional Service Agreements. Process invoices and payments for GFOI, working collaboratively and directly with finance, legal, and accounts payables teams.Coordinate support for GFOI interns working across many time zones for forecasting, research, presentations, and GFOI internal projects.As needed, work with the GFOI VP assistant for collaboration support: manage MS Teams sites and update staff lists and forecast distribution lists.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.Years related experience.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Excellent technology skills (Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Outlook).Advanced experience working with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Demonstrated success in completing multiple projects concurrently while balancing competing priorities; ability to meet deadlines.Outstanding oral and written communication skills in English with excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.Excellent team building skills and eagerness to mentor a growing team; experience training and guiding colleagues in other offices.Highly collaborative and solutions-oriented with a commitment to delivering excellent internal and external customer service.Active support of HFHI Values:Humility
