Project ManagerOur client is seeking a skilled Project Manager to provide overall project management leadership for a critical system upgrade project. The Project Manager will play a crucial role in delivering all aspects of project management activities while coordinating a matrixed workforce in a complex operational environment.This role is a hybrid model in Portland, Oregon or Tualatin, Oregon.Lead and manage day-to-day project functions for a system upgrade initiative.Facilitate team meetings and design sessions to ensure alignment and progress.Provide regular project updates to stakeholders and project personnel in accordance with the project communications plan.Manage and update the project schedule, ensuring timely delivery of key milestones.Create, maintain, and communicate the project risk register to address potential issues and risks.Develop and maintain the project organization chart, ensuring clarity of roles and responsibilities.Oversee the project budget and forecasts, ensuring financial transparency and alignment with project scope.Complete and maintain required project lifecycle documentation throughout the duration of the project.Project Manager QualificationsProven experience delivering all the required project management activities, including stakeholder management, scheduling, and budget oversight.Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrixed operating environment.Strong understanding of both business and technology aspects of project management.Familiarity with system lifecycle documentation and processes.PMP certification is preferred but not required; candidates should demonstrate comprehensive project management experience across all areas.Ability to work effectively with a matrixed workforce and navigate complex stakeholder relationships.Prior experience working in the utility sector is preferred.Compensation: (DOE)BenefitsBenefits are available to eligible VanderHouwen contractors and include coverage for medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long term disability, and matching 401k.About VanderHouwenVanderHouwen is an award-winning, Women-Owned, WBENC certified professional staffing firm.
