In this key role, you'll lead and support our labor team, managing roofing projects from start to finish on-site.PROJECT SUPERINTENDENTThe Commercial Roofing Superintendent is responsible for overseeing crews and ensuring the successful execution of projects. This is an on-site role, vital in assisting and communicating with the Project Manager while maintaining a strong focus on project safety, quality, performance, and deadlines.ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIESOn-Site SupervisionSupervise a crew of subcontractors and field staff for a variety of commercial roofing projects.Ensure work is performed efficiently, accurately, safely, and in compliance with project scope.Partner with Project Manager and communicate regularly to ensure all project needs are met.Address crew performance and site issues, as needed.Quality & SafetyEnsure quality standards, safety protocols, industry best practices, and manufacturer’s guidelines are followed on all projects and by all crew members.Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to identify and address any issues promptly.Materials, Inventory, and Equipment ManagementCoordinate the delivery and use of roofing materials, tools, and equipment on the job site.Manage job site inventory, ensuring efficient usage and minimizing waste.Manage the procurement of materials, including pickups and acceptance of deliveries.Ensure the materials needed are at the job site on a daily, ongoing basis.Documentation and ReportingKeep comprehensive project records, including daily logs, photos, receipts, and proper documentation.Provide daily updates/reports to the Project Manager for ongoing project communication.Client CommunicationInterface directly with clients professionally to ensure satisfaction and resolve/prevent issues.Report client feedback to Project Manager and take appropriate actions, as needed.Problem SolvingIdentify and address challenges/obstacles that may arise on-site and work to resolve issues promptly to keep the project on track.Seek to improve processes, procedures, and workflows on an ongoing basis.Ability to be flexible with project scheduling, being mindful of weather conditions.Hands-On Contribution:Actively participate in the installation/repair of roofing systems as needed, leading crews by example and ongoing education.NECESSARY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE5+ years of hands-on experience in commercial roofing with various roofing systems.Proven background in a similar role or as a project foreman within the commercial roofing industry.Strong knowledge of roofing materials, techniques, and safety & OSHA guidelines.Proficiency in using roofing tools and industry equipment.Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make decisions under pressure.Strong organizational and time management skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with both customers and crews.Ability to use iPhone, iPad, Apps, and communicate through text, phone, and e-mail.Flexibility to engage in hands-on work when necessary to support the team's success.Ability to lift heavy items, utilize ladders regularly, and work at a variety of heights.Willing to be trained in using company software for daily entries and tracking.Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.Must be authorized to work in the U.S.Bilingual in English and Spanish.BENEFITS$37-$45 per hour, depending on experience.Paid Time Off, career growth, and development opportunities.Company Vehicle and Credit Card.
