located in Wilson, North Carolina.While this role will ultimately support the site operations located in Wilson NC, this role will also be required to support the project phase across both design & construction. For the project design phase, the role will require you to be present with our design teams in the Greater Philadelphia region. Once the design phase is completed, this role will support the construction and operational start-up of the site. For this, you will be required to be on site in Wilson, NC. Based on your current location the hiring team will work with you to determine travel and relocation arrangements. In steady state, we expect travel to be less than 10%.J&J is expanding our manufacturing capacity with a $2 billion investment to support strong portfolio growth and continue delivering breakthrough innovation and transformational medicines for patients. The new facility will expand production of innovative biologic medicines in areas including oncology, immunology, and neuroscience. J&J’s significant supply chain investment ensures a resilient and reliable future supply of medicines to meet accelerating demand for our current portfolio of medicines and our future innovations.Key Responsibilities:Own, operate and maintain all site Utilities (Clean and Black) infrastructure assets, acting as site Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all operational, maintenance and project-related scope.Supervises a team of multi-craft maintenance technicians and is accountable for conducting effective performance management.Analyze, develop, and implement effective and operationally-sound functional strategies and initiatives.Assists with the coordination and execution of processes and assignments for the Maintenance Utilities area.Reports to managers on project activities and progress against key deliverables, ensuring projects are on schedule to meet agreed timelines.Supports and/or leads root cause analysis and implementation of robust solutions to downtime issues.Maintains a consistent workflow and productivity of the team, and proactively identifies and resolves operational issues and concerns.Coaches less experienced staff, recommending plans for continual improvement, and consistently evaluates individual and team performance against operational goals.Creates and maintains a training program to ensure the team is up to date with the Utilities technology and industry trends.Monitors utility operations to ensure cGMP compliance.Develops operating procedures for utilities.Develops and executes maintenance procedures, preventive and corrective maintenance, and equipment files for the utility equipment (GMP and non-GMP).Identifies appropriate spare parts to ensure maximum availability of equipment.Evaluates equipment reliability to identify trends and maximize equipment uptime.Creation and management of appropriate maintenance contracts.Manages/Leads shutdown program.QualificationsRequired:BS. Degree in Engineering, Science, or related discipline.A minimum of 5 years of Maintenance utilities experience in a manufacturing environment.Technical background in utilities engineering, manufacturing requirements, and engineering elements.Working knowledge of biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical, or chemical processes, utilities, and facilities.Strong attention to detail, goal-oriented, with a customer-focused mindset.Understanding of the importance of regulatory requirements.Excellent influencing, partnering, and collaboration skills.Strong analytical, conflict management, risk management, and critical thinking skills.Effective oral and written communication and presentation skills.Preferred:Proficiency in computer operating systems and applications, including SAP.FPX certification, Six Sigma, or Lean experience.Knowledge of GMP and cGMP maintenance in an FDA-regulated environment.Experience with greenfield or brownfield GMP manufacturing facility start-ups, including process systems, automation, utilities, facilities, and operations.This job posting is anticipated to close on 10/20/2024.
