Affinity Group is seeking an Account Manager with Bakery and/or Deli Tech experience.

Position Summary:

The Account Manager position is responsible for increasing the market share of the brands we represent by developing and maintaining relationships with key retailers. The position involves presenting our client’s product at retail headquarters and food show events. Utilizes data, technology, and market knowledge to build and execute strategic plans. Develops and maintains loyal Customer/Client relationships built on mutual success.

Essential Functions:Represent Affinity Group in an ethical and professional manner.Create and execute strategic plans to grow business.Source, prepare, and analyze sales data.Establish and maintain an effective partnership at customer headquarter level to facilitate the execution of impactful sales, merchandising, and marketing initiatives.Collaborate with Affinity leadership and business management in the development of account-specific sales, marketing, and merchandising plans.Prepare, present, and negotiate Client new items within client approved funding parameters.Prepare, present, and negotiate Customer-partner promotional programs with client involvement within the client’s trade-funding parameters.Collect and maintain timely sales volume histories.Report Retail-customer feature activity on a timely basis.Promptly address and resolve financial administrative issues (deductions/pricing discrepancies, etc.).Initiate and participate in the preparation and presentation of Affinity Client and Customer-partner business reviews.Visit Retail-customer partner store locations to be knowledgeable about key retailer merchandising initiatives and the competitive landscape.Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:Experience in the retail or food service areas is advantageous.Grocery store department operations, office, or sales experience preferred.Bachelor’s degree beneficial.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Solid competency with MS Windows software suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word).Solid understanding of syndicated sales data platforms (IRI and Nielsen) and category management principles.Effective verbal and written communication skills; comfortable and effective in presentation environments.Effective collaborator and contributor functioning in a team environment.Self-motivating, high-energy, high-capacity and results-oriented.Attention to detail, accuracy, and timelines.Professional appearance, winning attitude, and comfortable operating in a dynamic client service – customer activation environment.

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:Reliable transportation for visits to stores, customers, clients, and other locations.Move boxes weighing up to 40lbs.
