Toray Advanced Composites (TAC) is a leading supplier of advanced composite materials for the aerospace, sporting goods, motor sport and industrial markets. You will find our thermoset composite products on nearly every satellite, space launch vehicle, unmanned aircraft, military and commercial aircraft in production today. TAC also provides composites materials to industrial and recreational applications including mountain bikes, medical prosthetics and sports equipment.

Our thermoplastic prepregs, known in the industry as Cetex®, are found in a wide range of commercial and military aircraft, including large wing structures and interior applications like seats and galleys. Our Cetex products are available in unidirectional tape or fabric form in a variety of engineered thermoplastic resins including PEEK, PPS, PEI as well as a full line of performance thermoplastics including Nylon, PET, PC/ABS, HDPE, and PP.

SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for all aspects of financial accounting. This role will lead a team of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting. This role will be responsible for financial reporting and other monthly reporting requirements, such as maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable reconciliation, month-end close, payroll, and tax filings. This manager will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial records including those required for reporting (external and various internal management and control reports). The Accounting Manager will also collaborate with Human Resources and Operations teams on strategic projects. This role is responsible for training and guiding new hires and train existing employees in different accounting functions to grow and develop their skills.

MAJOR DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS:Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department

Accounts Payable and ReceivablePayroll and Time and LaborCredit and Collections

Maintain an effective daily cash flow management system, and provide forecast reportingProvide primary direction to the accounting functions, assuring compliance with overall Company policies and control proceduresProvide functional guidance to various operating departments in matters of financial reporting, budget procedures, cost controls, etc., in a manner that creates bottom-line value to the organizationPrepare and post month-end journal entriesReconcile and monitor accounting transactions and publish financial reports monthlyReview and provide explanation for operating expenses during month end closePrepare intercompany invoices to bill affiliates for expenses incurred and/or services providedReview intercompany invoices from affiliates for accuracy and charges to the general ledgerPreparation of schedules for corporate income tax filingIntercompany accountingEstablish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principlesCoordinate and complete annual audits, including 401K and Workers CompAccounts Payable:

Supervise the AP team to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and expense reportsOversee vendor relations and manage any discrepancies or issuesImplement and maintain AP policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirementsDetermine if vendor invoices correctly reflect sales and use taxInitiate stop payments on lost accounts payable checksPrepare and file 1099 forms at year-endAccounts Receivable:

Lead the AR team to ensure timely and accurate invoicing, collection of receivables, and application of payments.Monitor aging reports and take appropriate action on overdue accountsDevelop and implement AR policies to improve cash flow and reduce days salesCollaborate with the customer service team to address any issues such as RMA and resolve discrepancies promptly and effectivelyGeneral Accounting:

Maintain and reconcile the GL accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.Lead the Month-end and Year-end closing processes, including preparing, reviewing, and approving journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.Preparation of schedules for corporate income tax filingIntercompany accountingEstablish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principlesCoordinate and complete annual audits, including 401K and Workers CompPayroll:

Collaborate with HR to support bi-weekly payrollBook and reconcile all payroll related transactionsSupport Payroll, 401K, and WC auditOther Tasks:

Prepare year-end reports and support auditsImprove systems and procedures and initiate corrective actionsAssign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracyTrain and mentor accounting personnelEXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is preferredAt least 7 of experience in accounting is requiredAt least 3 years of experience working within a leadership role in accounting.Strong computer skills in MS Office, ERP software, and CognosProven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulationsExperience with intercompany accountingStrong working knowledge of IFRS is preferredExperience in manufacturing standard costing and inventory/cost accounting is preferred.CPA or CMA is preferredHigh attention to detail and accuracyAbility to coach and train accounting personnel on assigned tasks.Must be able to communicate clearly (written and verbally) in English.Able to effectively work and communicate as a team and supervisor.Maintain work areas in a neat, orderly, and safe manner.Must be capable of lifting up to 20 lbs.

COMPENSATION:

$100,000.00 - $120,000.00
