Gastroenterology Technician

Description:Prep room for Endoscopy procedures Communicate with physicians regarding patient vitals Taking and monitoring patient vital signs, data entry and maintaining a sterile environmentEscorts patient/families through and assists in checking in of patients as scheduled or neededSafely delivers Endoscopes to and from the procedure roomCollects, labels, and sends specimens with the correct paperwork out of the procedure roomAssists scope team with removal of cleaned scopes as neededReprocessing and cleaning of equipmentSterilizing equipment after proceduresSkills & Qualifications:HS graduate or equivalent Completion of a medical assistant, endoscopy technician or surgical technician training program required. Experience working in Gastroenterology or Internal Medicine clinic (adolescent, adult and/or geriatric patient population as specialty assignment dictates)At least one year of patient care or equipment maintenance experienceDemonstrates knowledge and skills to provide care, maintain clinical competency and meet patient population needs within clinic.Experience Level:Intermediate LevelAbout Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
