The Core Machinery Corporate Accounting team is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate financial results with internal and external financial reporting requirements. This position is a critical part of building out an exceptional Accounting and Finance Team that provides assurance over timely and accurate results and supporting stewardship of the Company's financial assets.

The senior accountant will perform various day-to-day accounting responsibilities, including balance sheet reconciliations; creating journal transactions to the general ledger, and researching transactions to apply accurate accounting treatment. This individual will work independently with light supervision and with others throughout the organization to obtain information to perform assigned duties and will assist in other general accounting projects as needed. Maintaining documentation standards and providing timely and accurate information is essential.

Essential Duties

Follow company established accounting processes.Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current processes and recommending changes.As the primary accounting contact, research and interpret data to answer questions, with support from the Controller.Complete monthly and yearly closing tasks promptly, including preparing journal entries and reconciling Balance Sheet accounts such as Cash, Pre-Paid Expenses, Fixed Assets, miscellaneous Receivables, and Expense accruals.Prepare month-end branch financial packages, collaborating with the branch management team to review and present performance to the executive team.Collaborate closely with the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and GL Accountant teams to investigate and resolve discrepancies.Participate in year-end financial statement audit preparations and field work.Review and update and/or document accounting and control procedures.Update and maintain technical job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.Competencies

Bachelor's degree in accounting, business accounting, or finance.5 plus years of relevant accounting experience preferred.Licensure as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or MBA is a plus.Proficiency with the Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook)
