CMBS Associate Attorney

A well-established law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Finance Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience. The successful candidate will work with a specialized team focused on CMBS lending and servicing. This position requires strong knowledge of commercial real estate finance and relevant legal expertise.Duties:Provide legal counsel and support for CMBS (Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities) and balance sheet financing transactions.Manage the servicing and asset management aspects of CMBS/balance sheet loans.Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial real estate finance documents.Collaborate with clients, lenders, and internal teams to ensure smooth transactions.Conduct thorough legal research and analysis.Assist in addressing issues related to loan restructuring, modifications, and workouts.Requirements:3-5 years of experience in commercial real estate finance, with a focus on CMBS lending and servicing.Proficiency in drafting and negotiating legal documents related to commercial real estate finance.Strong analytical and research abilities.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Active license to practice law in California (or ability to gain admission).Certifications:Active membership in California State Bar.Skills:Strong negotiation and transactional skills in real estate finance.Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
