Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Research Project Coordinator II for the Kinesiology & Health department within the School of Arts and Sciences. The Research Project Coordinator II works with Dr. Malin and colleagues in the Department of Kinesiology & Health on a NIH-NIDDK R01 project investigating the relation of extracellular vesicles on vascular health and insulin sensitivity in people with type 2 diabetes.Among the key duties of this position are the following:Coordinates daily operations of clinical research including development, coordination and implementation of exercise training, along with data acquisition/entry and proper study documentation.Minimum Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years relevant research experience, or an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience.Certifications/Licenses

CPR/AED certified.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Good communication skills and computer literacy.Preferred Qualifications

Research experience working with adults and other special populations (e.g., older adults or people at risk for cardiovascular disease).Experience in health risk appraisal, comprehensive fitness testing, and exercise prescription.Certification obtained through ACSM or NSCA.Advanced degrees (e.g., Master’s) in Kinesiology or a similar area.Knowledge of federal and state regulations on clinical trials and of human subject research ethics.MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).Physical Demands and Work Environment
