Tarter Gate Company, LLC - [Dunnville, KY]Position Overview:The EHS Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the company’s Environmental, Health, and Safety programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The EHS Manager will lead initiatives aimed at reducing environmental impact, improving employee safety, and promoting a culture of proactive safety awareness across all levels of the organization. This role is critical to safeguarding the health and well-being of employees while minimizing environmental risks and ensuring that all operations are carried out safely and sustainably.Key Responsibilities:Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.) and maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements.EHS Program Development: Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive EHS programs, policies, and procedures aimed at mitigating risks, preventing accidents, and promoting environmental responsibility.Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure proper safety measures are in place. Implement corrective actions to address any identified risks.Training and Education: Develop and lead employee safety training programs, ensuring that all employees understand and comply with safety protocols. Conduct training on emergency response, hazardous materials handling, and other safety practices.Incident Management: Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Maintain detailed records and reports on all incidents.Environmental Stewardship: Ensure compliance with environmental regulations by managing waste disposal, recycling programs, and emissions monitoring. Lead sustainability initiatives and continuous improvement efforts related to environmental impact reduction.Safety Culture Leadership: Promote a strong culture of safety across the organization, actively engaging employees in safety awareness initiatives and driving participation in EHS programs.Reporting and Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate records of all EHS activities, including inspections, incidents, audits, and corrective actions. Prepare regular reports for senior management on EHS performance metrics.Emergency Preparedness: Oversee the development and implementation of emergency response plans and coordinate with local agencies and first responders as needed.Collaboration with Operations: Work closely with operations teams to integrate safety protocols into daily workflows and ensure that EHS objectives align with overall company goals.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Safety Professional (CSP), OSHA Certification) are preferred.Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar EHS management role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial setting.Skills and Abilities:

Strong knowledge of EHS regulations, standards, and best practices.Proven ability to develop, implement, and manage EHS programs.Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence and engage employees at all levels.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct thorough investigations and develop actionable solutions.Experience with safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.

Certifications:

OSHA certification or equivalent safety certifications are required.Certifications such as CSP, CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager), or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) are a plus.
