College of Nursing Non-Tenure Track Faculty (Applicant Pool)Brief Position Overview:

Non-Tenure Track (NTT) faculty in the Mark and Robyn Jones College of Nursing teach undergraduate and/or graduate nursing courses using multiple teaching strategies including in-person active learning pedagogies, simulation learning, online/web-supported strategies, and/or clinical instruction. NTT faculty are located on one of the five CON campus sites (Bozeman, Billings, Great Falls, Kalispell, and Missoula) and participate in all aspects of the faculty teaching role. NTT faculty contribute to curriculum development, assessment, and continuous quality improvement.Duties and Responsibilities:The primary role of NTT faculty is to help fulfill the teaching mission of the College.NTT faculty members are expected to engage in service or outreach in addition to teaching.Faculty members are expected to maintain a continuous program of professional development.Faculty members must travel among the five campuses for faculty meetings.Faculty members must meet all health standards set forth by clinical agencies.Each faculty member must meet and abide by all requirements for the practice of professional nursing in Montana.Required Qualifications:Unencumbered RN license to practice Nursing in Montana.BSN or Master’s degree in Nursing.Successful work experience in nursing.Demonstrated clinical competence in the area of teaching interest.Preferred Qualifications:Earned DNP degree in nursing for teaching in the DNP program.Experience teaching college and/or adult learners.The Successful Candidate Will:Demonstrate a commitment to nursing education.Have effective interpersonal skills.Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.Position Special Requirements/Additional Information:The position may be a Union position.
