EHS Coordinator

Seeking a Safety (EHS) Coordinator with OSHA 500 for a long term opportunity in Austin, TX!This position offers full benefits including PTO, Medical, Dental and 401k!Pay is up to $35/hr - plus overtime and night shift differential!In this role you will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with safety regulations, conducting inspections, investigating incidents, and implementing safety improvement initiatives, creating a safe work environment for all employees!Responsibilities:Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulationsDevelop and implement safety policies and procedures to promote a safe work environmentProvide safety training to employees on topics such as hazard identification, emergency response, and proper use of personal protective equipmentInvestigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and develop corrective actionsMaintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activitiesPrepare reports on safety performance and present findings to managementCollaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement safety improvement initiativesQualifications:Must hold OSHA 500And Must be experienced with at least one (1) of the following:College degree in Occupational Safety and Health or other related field PLUS 6 months experience in the safety, health, environmental or emergency response area.ORProfessional Certification as an Occupational Health Safety Technologist (OHST) or Construction Safety Health Technologist (CHST) from an approved entity PLUS 6 months experience in the safety, health, environmental or emergency response area.OR5+ years’ experience in the construction environment where 100% of position's day-to-day job functions entailed safety, health, and/or environmental protection.If you are passionate about promoting workplace safety and have the required qualifications, we would love to hear from you!
