ProSidian Seeks a Engineer-Junior Engineer | Environmental Management [USACE017022] - DPLH Est.: 2080 Hrs. ST | 0 Hrs. OT on a Exempt Contract Contingent Basis Engagement Team | Applied Engineer 1 Labor Category - STD Level Exempt Professional aligned under services related to NAICS: 541620 located CONUS - Ten (10) States: Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming. This position supports a federal agency within the Dept of Defense whose geo area encompasses a vast geographic region that includes all or parts of these ten states to provide critical engineering services to strengthen national security, support economic growth, and mitigate disaster risks focusing on flood management, environmental restoration, and military construction across the Missouri River Basin.
Seeking Engineer-Junior Engineer candidates with relevant Environmental Management Sector Experience to support professional services engagement for Environmental Management Sector Clients such as USACE. This is a Contract Contingent or Contract W-2 Position and ProSidian reserves the right to convert to a Full-Time ProSidian employed W-2 Position.
JOB OVERVIEW
Provide services and support as a Environmental Remediation Services (ERS) (Engineer-Junior Engineer) in the Environmental Management Industry Sector focusing on Environmental Services Solutions for clients such as Department of Defense (DoD - USACE) | U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Northwestern Division, Omaha District (USACE NWO).
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Assist in design and implementation of engineering projects; support senior engineers in technical tasks. The Engineer(s) is responsible for assuring that all engineering support goals specified in the Task Order are attained.
Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of engineering principles; willingness to learn and grow in the field. The Engineer(s) should also have three (3) years’ experience related to the investigation, design, and construction of geotechnical features, with a minimum of one (1) year of experience being related to remedial investigations, feasibility studies, and design and construction of geotechnical features in Environmental Remediation Services (ERS) Services Facilities or sites.
Education / Experience Requirements / Qualifications
Entry-level; internship or 1-2 years in engineering. Bachelor's in Engineering. The Engineer shall have a college degree in engineering (soil mechanics, materials, or related specialty), geological engineering, or related field. The Engineer(s) should have demonstrable education and experience in geotechnical engineering.
Skills Required
Skills Required: Technical support, project assistance, data analysis, problem-solving. Professional Licensure: None required.
Competencies Required
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, & Adobe).
Permits/Licenses:
Team ProSidian shall obtain permits and licenses necessary to conduct the work required by this contract, including environmental permits and compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations.
