The Director serving in this wonderful City and in this very important role will be an inspirational, motivational, and organized leader, as well as a collaborative and team-oriented communicator. Furthermore, the position of Community Development Director requires an individual who values and embraces engagement with Department, community, and regional stakeholders to achieve organizational goals.Qualifications:The successful applicant must have a strong technical background and hands-on experience in municipal Planning at a minimum level of Senior Planner, Manager, or Deputy Director, as well as the ability and resources to learn California land use policy and regulations. The successful candidate is required to have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Urban or Regional Planning, Public Administration, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field, plus 6 years of increasingly responsible experience in urban planning, including 3 years in an administrative or supervisory capacity.
