Sport Analytics and Sport Business (Tenure-Track Assistant/Associate Professor)The Department of Management in the College of Business at The University of Akron invites applications for a full-time, tenure track Assistant/Associate Professor appointment in Sport Analytics and Sport Business. The position will commence Fall 2025.Responsibilities : Responsibilities include teaching courses in sport analytics and sport business at the undergraduate level. The applicant must conduct scholarly research where the output of such research is high quality publications, and provide service to the department, college, university, and academic community. The successful candidate will also work collaboratively with other academic units and departments across the academic community and with sport industry practitioners.Required Qualifications:Earned doctorate in sport management, management, analytics, or related fieldStrong potential of high-quality research, along with scholarly accomplishment as evidenced by publications, working papers, or research projects with a focus on sport analytics and sport business.Strong commitment to effective and innovative teaching, with strong technical and communication skills.Preferred Qualifications:A strong research background in analytics is desired. Ability to work and code in R and/or Python is desirable for this position.The department is interested in candidates who have demonstrated commitment to excellence by providing leadership in teaching, research, or service towards building an equitable and diverse scholarly environment.Application Instructions:
