The Department of Social Work is seeking adjunct faculty to teach during the 2024-2025 academic year. Adjunct faculty prepare future generalist social workers for practice using a curriculum approved by the Council on Social Work Education.Position Information

MSW from a university accredited by the Council on Social Work Education is required. At least two years of post-MSW social work practice experience are required.Normal Work Schedule: Monday-Saturday 8am-8pm (according to the course schedule and department requirements).Department Required Skills: Ability to demonstrate and evaluate social work knowledge, values, and skills.Preferred Qualifications

Ph.D. in social work or a closely related field.Extensive experience working as a macro social work practitioner in a social work agency setting.Teaching experience in a fully accredited CSWE program.LCSW licensure in the state of North Carolina.Demonstrated competence in online teaching. Teaching experience in a culturally diverse environment.Primary Responsibilities and Duties

The Adjunct Faculty will teach Social Work Methods I, Social Work Methods II, BSW Professional Seminar, and Social Welfare Policy II via Canvas in person and some via Zoom.
