Safety Specialist Job Description:Initially, responsible for managing facility safety.

Support and promote Environmental, Health, and Safety within the businessAssist in creating and coordinating safety programsAssist in audits of worksites prior to work start, as work is proceeding, and after work is completeReview Job Safety Analyses (JSA’s) and Lockout Tag-outs (LOTO’s)Train contractors and operators on facility safety requirementsFollow up with safety improvement projects to make sure we maintain focus and momentumParticipate/Lead incident investigations

Standard work schedule will be 8-430P, but there will be times where you would need to go on 2 nd

or 3 rd

shift for training 1-2x per month

Minimum Qualifications:Commitment to high safety and environmental standardsSafety Certifications such as your OSHA 30 in Construction Management or General Industry3-10 years in safety roleProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat

Preferred Qualifications:Bachelors degree in STEM or equivalentSafety Certifications such as your OSHA 501 or OSHA 5113-10 years experience in food production or other highly regulated industries3-10 years experience in process based, manufacturing environmentsStrong conflict resolution skillsExperience in union environmentsDetailed and results orientedBilingual, Spanish

Pay Details:

$34.00 to $41.00 per hourSearch managed by:
