Job Summary
The EHS Coordinator is responsible for all safety activities for the plant, including training, accident reporting and investigations, OSHA and MIOSHA, corporate safety activities and reporting, hazardous assessments, and safety audits.
Responsibilities
Coordinate all plant safety activities
Coordinates, monitors, and administers training for plant
Coordinates all accident reporting and investigation
Admin for MSDS systems
Plant EMS rep for ISO 14001
Reports and coordinates the works comp issues along with HR dept.
Responsible for hazardous assessments for plant for existing and new equipment
Responsible for/coordinates all safety audits and first-aid supplies
Works with plant management and corporate at maintaining a successful safety program
Administer and oversee company safety program and does orientation training
Maintain programs and record keeping systems that track and evaluate safety compliance
Does all monthly safety reporting for plant and corporate systems and reports
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or 5 years safety experience
Good written and oral communication
Time Management
Organizational skills
2 years' manufacturing experience
