The Institute for Health, Health Care Policy and Aging Research (IFH) facilitates collaboration among the social and behavioral sciences, clinical disciplines, basic sciences and related fields to promote research on critical population health issues.Among the key duties of the position are the following:Performs routine and semi-routine professional work that requires general knowledge of office administration, with a key focus on university policies and procedures under general supervision.Management of general Center inquiries including scheduling requests for the Center director and faculty, serving as liaison within and outside the Center.Maintenance of Center director's calendar and other scheduling needs with an understanding of priorities and overall Center needs.Assists with the logistical management of funded research, organizing internal Center and study-specific meetings.Assists with research and identification of guest speakers and coordination of logistics for events and meetings in support of Center programming.Coordinates travel arrangements for Center director and prepares business expense reimbursements for faculty and staff in accordance with university policies.Assists senior Center administrators in research administration activities across the grant cycle.Creates and maintains documents and reports of general and research administrative functions and processes in support of Center operations.Develops and maintains records to track Center operations and timelines.Coordinates website updates, ensuring an up-to-date digital footprint for the Center and Center director.Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience:Requires a bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of coordination, organization, facilitation, report analysis, writing, and promotion/outreach.Also requires a minimum of two years relevant experience in a program coordination or administrative function, good communication skills, and computer literacy.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge and understanding of program coordination, organizational processes, facilitation, writing, promotion/outreach.Must have an interest in program management in an academic research environment.Must possess strong organizational skills, an ability to prioritize, creativity, and solid judgement.An ability to efficiently multi-task in a multifaceted environment.Highly detail oriented, entrepreneurial, adaptable, and flexible.Strong skills working with Microsoft Office suite.Possesses strong skills in written and verbal communication.Posting Details
