Our high retention rate is influenced by a unique compensation program for positions that are more than just jobs - they're chances to grow, do what you love and build a career with us!SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:As a Transport & Service Provider Agent, you are responsible for the timely and accurate handling of all LHR District related pick-up and delivery transport requirements and the associated requirements for preferred service providers in the programme. The management of inland haulage for ocean containers and the respective service providers will also become a responsibility of this role. The role requires working very closely with Expeditors Service Providers and all internal Expeditors products (Ocean, Air and Road).KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Execute, sustain, and enhance the local pickup and delivery program at LHR.Analyse and plan optimal routes for all vehicle movements to effectively minimize operational costs.Lead, influence, and foster collaboration with the current third-party transport department.Organize and lead daily service reviews with primary service providers.Deliver high-quality operational data and KPIs for internal and external review purposes.Propose policy or service provider changes with rational reasoning and justification.Collaborate with department managers to evaluate transportation needs and ensure compliance with regulations.Develop new strategies to uphold or enhance service quality and boost profitability.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND BEHAVIOURS:Knowledge:Knowledge of local geography, traffic conditions, routing options, and transit times.Company policy and procedures of Expeditors (general, Security, Health & Safety and Compliance).Aware of local transportation mandates such as driver hours and road traffic regulations.Skills:Strong organisational, time management and the ability to work to tight deadlines.Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, coupled with a demonstrated capacity for active listening.Strong numerical aptitude, analytical capabilities, and meticulous attention to detail.Ability to develop, evaluate, and recommend different options.Behaviours:Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to help others.Can listen, understand and communicate effectively to achieve positive results.Supports the development of others around the transport strategy.Committed, productive and flexible, adapts easily when changes occur and open to feedback.EDUCATION:Undergraduate degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or other related field preferred but not required.SCHEDULE:Monday to Friday 9am to 5:30pm including a 1 hour lunch break.BENEFITS:Private Medical InsurancePension SchemeLife AssuranceBike to work schemeEmployee Stock Purchase PlanTraining and Personnel Development Programme
