We bring together exceptional talent and harness diverse backgrounds and perspectives to make life more vibrant for everyone, every day.Position Summary:The Regulatory Affairs Intern will work closely with Scientific Affairs, R&D, Quality, and Marketing to ensure product compliance for both Natrol and Jarrow Formulas. This will entail raw material, formula, and label reviews in addition to FDA product notifications and creation of product dossiers.The Regulatory Affairs Intern should also be knowledgeable in food science and nutrition, particularly having a good understanding of nutrition and biochemistry to collaborate with Scientific Affairs ensuring that the structure-function claims are substantiated.Your primary activities will include but are not limited to:Have a good understanding of nutrition and biochemistry to ensure that structure-function claims are adequately substantiated.Have a good understanding of nutrition and fundamental food regulatory requirements in foods and dietary supplements.Be cognizant of Raw Material information, Formulas, Claims and Substantiation, and Labels and Marketing Material.Create product dossiers with all the required categories and information as mandated by the FDA for on-file Dietary Supplement requirements.Assist the Director and Sr Manager of Regulatory Affairs by analyzing previously recorded data and providing inputs.Assist with Regulatory research for the most current and updated food laws at the request of the Director and Sr Manager of Regulatory Affairs.You’ll need the following (minimum qualifications):Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree (BS) or master’s degree (MS) in Food Science and Nutrition or a related field or have recently graduated.Excellent writing, comprehension, and research skills.Basic computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.Strong Project Management experience required, Organizational Management, Cross-functional communication, Leadership.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, Strong sense of ownership and accountability, Attention to detail.A reasonable estimate of the current base hourly/salary range for this position is $19 to $22. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education.
