12/01/2023Position Description Summary:

The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates (MFA) is seeking full-time academic intensivists to work at the MFA, an independent, non-profit, academic clinical practice group, the Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center, serving the District’s population, mainly in Wards 7 and 8, and/or the George Washington University Hospital, a Comprehensive Stroke Center and Level One Trauma Center located in the heart of the nation’s capital. Intensivists at GW work closely with other intensivists, neurosurgeons, trauma surgeons, cardiologists, transplant surgeons, cardiac surgeons, and other medical/surgical sub-specialists in an environment that fosters collaboration. Those with subspecialty expertise in cardiac, transplant, and neurocritical care are invited to apply. Regular and Limited Service faculty appointments to these full-time, non-tenure track academic and community-based positions will be made at an academic rank (assistant professor, associate professor, full professor) commensurate with experience.Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include providing comprehensive, multi-system care to critically ill patients with general critical care including management of trauma patients, neurologically injured patients, and cardiovascular diseases; teaching fellows, residents, and students; participating in administrative duties; and pursuing scholarly interests.Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must be board certified in Critical Care Medicine from any of the accepted core specialties or in the certification process at the time of appointment. Eligibility for licensure in the District of Columbia is also required.Advertised Salary:

Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.Other Information:
