This position requires a licensure, certification, or special requirements.Proposed Start Date: 12/01/2023Position Description Summary: The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates (MFA) is seeking full-time faculty positions in pain medicine. The MFA is an independent, non-profit, academic clinical practice group. Responsibilities include clinical practice at the GW Interventional Pain Medicine clinic, which offers comprehensive clinical care to out-patients in Washington, DC, and surrounding communities. Most procedures are performed at the GW Hospital Ambulatory Surgery Center, and in-patient care occurs at the GW University Hospital. All three locations are conveniently located in the Foggy Bottom neighborhood. As the practice expands, additional clinic locations in the DMV area may be considered. Those with advanced procedural expertise and/or experience with funded research are invited to apply. Appointment to these full-time, non-tenure track academic positions will be made at an academic rank (assistant professor, associate professor, full professor) commensurate with experience.Specific Duties and Responsibilities: In addition to clinical practice, responsibilities include the teaching of fellows, residents, and students, and participating in administrative duties and scholarly activities.Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must be board certified or board eligible in pain medicine by the American Board of Medical Specialties from any of the accepted core specialties.
