The School of Social Work has both a thriving BSW and MSW program. Our programs are staffed by 16 full-time faculty, more than 15 part-time faculty, three field education specialists, and two administrators. The School of Social Work at Bridgewater State University seeks qualified Part-Time Faculty who are enthusiastic teachers, dedicated to working with undergraduates for the 2024/2025 academic year. Candidates must:Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of students from diverse backgrounds with a wide range of abilities.Utilize an equity-minded framework to prepare lesson plans which incorporate varied instructional techniques and strategies designed to meet the educational, culturally relevant, and emotional needs of our students.Develop and maintain a classroom environment conducive to effective learning, encouraging success for all students regardless of race.Specific Course Offerings
Teaching up to 11 credits per semester as assigned by the School of Social Work chairperson.Required Qualifications
Required qualifications are:A master’s degree in social work or a related fieldAt least 2 years post-MSW experienceAbility to use technology effectively in online and in-person teaching.Preferred Qualifications
MSW degree and LICSWTeaching experience in a BSW or MSW programSpecial Conditions for Eligibility
