Reclamation is seeking a career professional looking for an opportunity to capitalize on their expertise as a Supervisory Natural Resources Specialist. Make a difference in the West by assisting in meeting increasing water demands while protecting the environment.Responsibilities:Serves as supervisor of the Resource Management Division (RMD) responsible for the direction, coordination, and quality review of all resource management activities within the jurisdiction of the Montana Area Office (MTAO).Advises management on major issues, concerns, and problem areas that could impact successful program accomplishment.Responsible for environmental compliance, recreation, land management, and the interpretation and implementation of Reclamation policies and procedures for the MTAO.Provides managerial oversight and direction for the development, execution, and coordination of land and natural resource activities including realty transactions, environmental permitting, fish and wildlife habitat management, accessibility compliance, riparian and wetland habitat management, access management, and geographic information system services.Supervises and directs the activities of the RMD, which includes the lands and recreation area associated with Clark Canyon Dam and Reservoir near Dillon, MT.Requirements:You must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National.You must be suitable for Federal employment, determined by a background investigation.You must submit a resume and supporting documentation.You must meet any minimum education and/or experience requirements.You must maintain a valid State Driver's License at all times as the position requires operation of government vehicles.You will be required to complete a Financial Disclosure Form.Qualifications:To be eligible for consideration, you must meet the Basic Education Requirement:A 4-year degree from an accredited college or university in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines.OR a combination of education and experience equivalent to a major in the above fields.In addition, you must meet the specialized experience requirement:One full year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty, complexity, and scope to the GS-12 grade level in Federal service, including experience providing oversight or managing a natural resource and/or land management project and leading a team of technical staff.Education:This position has a mandatory education requirement. You must submit a copy of college transcript(s) to support claimed education. Official transcripts must be provided if selected.Additional Information:You may be required to serve an initial probationary period.This position is suitable for telework with supervisory approval.Overtime may be required.Permanent Change of Station (PCS) expenses are authorized.This position is designated as a MODERATE RISK Public Trust position.
