Basic Education Requirement:A. Degree:

A 4-year degree from an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree in the biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry or related disciplines appropriate to this position.ORB. Combination of education and experience:

Courses equivalent to a major, as shown above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.

In addition to meeting the basic education requirement, you must also meet the qualification below. In order to be rated as qualified for this position, the HR Office must be able to determine that you meet the specialized experience requirement - this information must be clearly supported in the resume.

GS-13:Specialized Experience:

One full year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty, complexity and scope to the GS-12 grade level in Federal service which includes experience providing oversight or managing a natural resource and/or land management project and leading a team of technical staff.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
