ExemptPosition Responsibilities:The University of Idaho Extension is seeking applicants for a tenure track Assistant, tenure track Associate Professor, or a tenured Associate Professor to serve the 4-H/Youth Development-Agriculture & Natural Resources-Community Development program in cooperation with the Coeur d’Alene tribe. This is a grant-funded position through the Federally Recognized Tribal Extension Program (FRTEP).The Extension Educator will provide overall leadership and organization for educational programs in 4-H Youth and adult volunteer development on the Coeur d’Alene Reservation, collaborating with public schools and other partners. The educator will also focus on Agriculture and Natural Resources programming with an emphasis on sustainable agricultural production and profitability.Responsibilities include planning, developing, and implementing educational programs, evaluating and reporting program impacts, and securing funding to support scholarly work. The educator will also serve on committees and build relationships with stakeholders.Minimum Education/Degree Required:

Listed degree qualification is required at time of hire.Required Qualifications:Master’s degree related to education or youth development, agriculture, natural resources, or related disciplines.Must currently be an associate professor to qualify for associate rank and be tenured to qualify for tenured associate professor.Experience designing and implementing educational programs.Experience working with youth and adult audiences.Experience in teaching, problem-solving, communication, conflict management, and leadership development.Experience in marketing and promoting the 4-H program.Experience communicating with diverse groups.Experience with recruiting, teaching, and managing volunteers.Experience with technology and computer programs.Preferred Qualifications:Extension experience in 4-H Youth Development.Knowledge of Native/Tribal programs.Experience in fundraising and grantsmanship.Experience working with mass media.Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:Valid driver’s license.Willing and able to travel and adjust to a flexible schedule.Posting Information:Posting Date:
