JOB TYPE:

Full Time with full benefits eligibility. All compensation details will depend solely on location.

LOCATION:

We are hiring for locations in Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas.

COMPENSATION:

If you are selected to be interviewed, please be prepared to discuss compensation. Our rates are extremely competitive! These positions are Non-exempt with opportunities for overtime available. Per diem may be available for those outside the specified distance from the work site. Mileage and other reimbursements may be included as well.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This is a project-based position, and you should demonstrate a thorough knowledge of all construction activities, means and methods to ensure projects are completed in accordance with all applicable requirements including standards, engineering design, regulatory guidelines, permits and schedules. If you are a self-starter and motivated to provide the best customer service and highest quality and thrive in a demanding environment this might be your next role. What you will be responsible for:

(Disclaimer: The lists below are not all inclusive and may vary based on location) As the Assistant Chief Inspector you may be required to replace the Chief Inspector during their absence on a project. You will have a minimum of 10 inspectors under your charge.

Production and Schedule:

Provides planning support and organization of all construction activities including inspection, survey and NDE services; materials availability; tie-ins and service disruptions; and commissioning and start-up.

Coordinate daily with the Company PM, assigned CSG personnel, Contractors, Manufacturer Representatives, ROW Representatives, Environmental Inspection and any applicable regulatory agencies if required.

Review the scope of work with all members of the inspection team and assign each to oversee activities for which they are needed or best qualified.

Prioritize time onsite to be at locations that present the greatest challenges during construction.

Quality:

Supervise all phases of the field quality control and inspection staff assigned to the project and acts as the primary interface with the Contractors and Inspection team to ensure proper implementation of all construction specifications and project requirements.

Ensure all inspectors have the proper materials and equipment to perform their work in a competent manner.

Ensure that all proposed design changes or material substitutions are discussed, approved, and documented by the Company PM prior to proceeding with the work.

Cost Control:

Track daily construction costs by verifying and documenting the hours worked, unit quantities installed, and the materials, labor and equipment used as defined by the Company PM or as necessary for the given scope of work.

Ensure that the Contractor has all necessary Change authorizations prior to proceeding with extra work.

Document Contractor progress and work quality situations that would aid in ensuring correction of non-conformances and be useful in evaluation of Contractor’s claims. Report any identified non-conformances to the Company PM.

QUALIFICATIONS:

You must have the following:

(Minimum)

You must be comfortable communicating with clients and providing excellent customer service.

Familiar with Microsoft Office and have excellent attention to detail.

Knowledge of and familiarity with ASME B31.4, B31.8; API 5L, 6D, 1104, 1107.

If you have the following it will be a big plus:

(Preferred)

A combination of experience in pipeline inspection, industrial construction, and pipeline construction of at least five (5) years.

NACE CIP Level 1.

API 1169 Certification.
