at Clara Maass Medical Center | Belleville Hospital.Job Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:Directly manage retail and catering cooks. Maintain all staff schedules and cover schedules as needed.Responsible for yearly evaluations and goals for cooks.Implementation and standardization of all culinary systems and procedures for the unit through the direction of system-wide initiatives.Manage all aspects of the retail and catering menu.Conduct walk-throughs of all areas.Maintain the Food Management System.Responsible for Food and Physical Safety and all HACCP record keeping.Maintain Gold Check standards.Conduct chef demos and educational seminars in the unit.Create interpersonal relationships with clients in the unit.The skillsets below are also necessary in this high-profile role:Energetic, polished culinary professional with high-end catering and dining experience and a passion for culinary arts.A strong production culinary background, ideally in an upscale restaurant/retail/catering environment.Demonstrated experience leading and engaging a culinary team and exceptional human resource and supervisory/management skills.Menu planning experience and a strong understanding of current culinary trends.Ability to effectively communicate to multiple audiences and develop strong relationships with customers.Ability to multitask and proven effectiveness in a high standard-driven environment.Strong understanding of forecasting, food cost management, purchasing, inventory, and labor management concepts.Ability to successfully lead, develop, and train a team.Proficient computer skills as well as exceptional organizational and customer service skills.Servsafe certified as well as working knowledge of HACCP and experience with Health and Safety audits.C.E.C. preferred.Sodexo offers a full array of benefits including paid time off, holidays, medical, dental, vision, 401K, and access to ongoing training and development programs, tuition reimbursement, plus health and wellness programs.Employees who work in Healthcare are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a term and condition of employment, absent a legally required exception, and are required to report their vaccination status as required by applicable law and/or client requirements.What We Offer:Compensation is fair and equitable, partially determined by a candidate's education level or years of relevant experience.
