8:30am - 5:30pm M-FJob Responsibilities:
Work closely with the engineering teams to support equipment bring-up and process validationUse manual, semi-automated, and automated equipment to build high voltage battery packsTroubleshoot equipment and processesDebug high voltage battery packsDraft and update standard work instructions to guide others in assembly processes, train others as neededMentor other techniciansDesign and build basic lab fixtures and toolsOperate machine shop equipment to create simple components and fixturesProcure, install, organize and maintain shop and equipmentPerform routine maintenance on equipmentPerform inspections and measurements of product dimensions using basic metrology tools (calipers, micrometer, depth gauges, measurement microscope, CMM, etc)Required Qualifications:
Associate's Degree, or equivalent5+ years in manufacturing or battery industryEV power train experience and suspense systems experienceR&D work environment experienceDirect hands-on build experience with mechanical and electronic assemblies using technical documentationHigh quality workmanship standardsAbility to follow formal build instructions and document deviationsStrong soldering, electronics fabrication and wire harness assembly skillsExcellent documentation and written communication; proficient using Microsoft OfficeBasic knowledge of drafting standards (read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings) to produce parts and assembliesExperience using and maintaining machine shop equipment and tooling (drill press, bandsaw, grinders, sanders)Experience using measurement and inspection (caliper, micrometer, height gage, CMM…)Familiarity with 5S or similar workplace organization methodsExperience following all aspects of maintenance safety protocol (LOTO, 5S, Arc Flash, etc.)Experience using PLM, MES, and ERP softwareIf you are interested in this role, please apply via the apply now link provided.
