The University of Louisiana at Lafayette’s Engineering Technology Department invites applications and nominations for a 9-month tenure track position. A Tenure-track faculty member for this position is expected to be an excellent teacher in a cross-section of the following areas: advanced manufacturing systems, lean manufacturing, quality management, quality & reliability engineering, risk management, project management, logistics & distribution, supply chain management, occupational safety & industrial hygiene, robotic systems, product design, innovation, entrepreneurship, healthcare, sustainable systems engineering, transportation systems.All faculty participate in departmental, college, and university service, and student advising activities. The candidate should have a robust academic record, be an active educator in their field, serve as a mentor to students, work with colleagues to assess and improve curricula, and conduct research and/or creative works in their respective area of specialization(s). The candidate is expected to develop a strong, funded research program and demonstrate institutional citizenship through active engagement at the department, college, university, community, and professional levels.Qualifications:

Successful candidates must possess a terminal degree in engineering management, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, operations research, technology management, or a related field at the time of appointment. Competitive candidates will demonstrate the ability to develop an independent, rigorous, externally funded research program. Applicants should be willing to engage in a variety of instructional modalities, including online instruction, and a commitment to undergraduate and graduate student research. The candidate should demonstrate ongoing intellectual competence and professional development. Successful candidates must be committed to working effectively with diverse student populations.
