2610 | NursingResponsibilities:Teaching in the BSN, MSN, BSN to DNP, and/or Post-Master’s DNP Programs. Primary responsibilities include instruction, advising, research, and service. The candidate should demonstrate ongoing intellectual competence and professional development.

Successful candidates must be committed to working effectively with diverse student populations and are responsible for clinical and online instruction of undergraduate and graduate students in a competitive, technology-based learning environment. Applicants are expected to describe their commitment to fostering a diverse educational environment through their research, teaching, and/or service activities.Qualifications:An earned doctorate in nursing and eligibility for RN licensure in Louisiana is required. Licensure and certification as an APRN (Family Nurse Practitioner and/or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner), and previous experience teaching at the MSN and/or DNP levels in an online environment are preferred.

Candidates for a tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor must demonstrate a record of effective teaching, and active scholarly and research productivity which should include peer-reviewed publications and presentations, and a commitment to service.

Candidates must demonstrate a strong record of, or potential for, developing a program of funded scientific research which is aligned with department, college, and university priorities. Strong preference will be given to candidates with a track record of federal funding as principal investigator, or the potential to receive federal funding in the near future.Job Ad#:
