CMI is expanding, and we're looking for a Health and Safety Associate to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage Safety, Health and Environmental program (SHE)
Provide technical expertise to all departments
Interact daily with engineers, process specialists and process leaders
Lead and participate in the investigation of workplace incidents
Evaluate risks and cost-effective resolve for all Occupation and Health issues including risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations.
Requirements and Experience:
10 years of environmental, health and safety experience
3+ years managing Safety, Health and Environment Program (SHE) required
Management experience
Owner representative experience
Ability to work at a corporate level
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient Microsoft Office Skills
Education and Credentials:
Bachelor’s degree in a Health and Safety discipline
Professional credentials such as ASP, SMS, OHST or CHST
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing and walking
Ability to climb a ladder
Ability to stoop, crawl and bend
Ability to lift up to 30lbs
Other Requirements:
Background check and potential drug screening required for the position
Overtime and flexible working hours may be necessary based on project demands
Residence within a reasonable commuting distance
