The position is responsible for the following:Oversee the daily operations of the Leadership Institute.Work with faculty to design and implement a relevant, practical undergraduate leadership curriculum.Collaborate with other colleges and offices at Troy.Oversee summer leadership camps, including American Village activities.Participate in the coordination of the annual John Robert Lewis Leadership Lecture (typically in February of each year).Plan and implement leadership-themed study abroad opportunities for TROY students.Collaborate with Global Leadership Ph.D. faculty and students to enrich leadership programs for undergraduate and high school students.Bring notable leadership guest speakers to the Troy campus on a regular basis.Work with the Office of Development to raise funds.Present leadership lectures to Troy students in conjunction with the Chancellor’s Capstone Leadership Class and the Global Leadership Ph.D.Serve as an ambassador for Troy University.Craft and implement a strategic vision for the Leadership Institute.The position includes a reduced teaching load. Other related duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications

Terminal degree with a leadership focus, specialization, or emphasis.Extensive civic, corporate, education, or military leadership experience.Preferred Qualifications

Extensive leadership experience in a large organization with responsibility for many individuals.Extensive experience working with individuals from diverse cultures, including international individuals.Extensive experience planning curricula, teaching, and working with students and faculty.Extensive experience teaching online.Proven ability to work across a large organization and in a university setting, where the candidate will be expected to work with other colleges and departments across the university.Previous experience as a director with responsibility for overseeing course content as well as other instructors.Working knowledge of military education and training, beneficial for working with online instruction, as well as with students who have military experience or who are from military families.Globally and culturally aware.
