Immediate opening for a full-time Environmental Field Technician. This position involves field work including collection of environmental samples, maintenance of field equipment, coordination with engineers and contractors, and documentation of activities. Hands-on outdoor work and the ability to troubleshoot equipment in a timely manner is required. Local candidates are preferred.Locus Technologies is a San Francisco bay-area based environmental services and software development firm. You will be a team member contributing to services in the remediation, compliance, and sustainability markets.Key Responsibilities
Sample collection of water, air, and vapor samplesOperates equipment to monitor field parametersDocumentation of field activities through logs and chain of custody recordsAssists with operating and maintaining treatment and mitigation systemsWorks closely with engineers and scientists on project requirementsCoordinates with laboratories, drillers, vendors and subcontractorsFollows work plans and HASPsFollows environmental regulations and ordersRequired Qualifications
Self-starter and ability to work independentlyAbility to work with a multi-disciplinary team of environmental professionalsAttention to details and strong time management capabilitiesMechanical, electrical, and plumbing troubleshooting skillsValid driver’s licenseAbility to lift heavy equipmentDesirable Qualifications
40-hour HAZWOPER trainingExperience with remediation systems and extraction wellsCompensation
Comprehensive compensation package, including paid holidays and paid FTO, health insurance, dental/vision insurance, performance bonuses, and competitive salaries. Annual salary of $35,000-$85,000 or hourly equivalent.Apply For Position
