The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Assistant Professor-in-Residence, Psychology.ROLE of the POSITIONThe Department of Psychology at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for three (3) full-time, 9-month, non-tenure track teaching faculty members (Assistant Professor in Residence) to begin Fall, 2025. The primary responsibilities for these positions are the development and instruction of undergraduate courses for our traditional students and for our online degree program. This includes psychology courses at the introductory (statistics, research methods), foundational (psychopathology, cognitive, development, perception, neuroscience, and social) and upper-division levels, as well as courses for our neuroscience major (e.g., cellular and molecular/cognitive neuroscience) and for the College of Liberal Arts first-year experience course. Coverage of topics such as forensic psychology, children’s mental health, and capstone in psychology would be helpful. Career advancement is available with evidence of continued professional development and service contributions. The Department seeks individuals who are committed to fostering an environment in which faculty, staff, and students from a variety of backgrounds, cultures, and personal experiences are welcomed and can thrive. Further, the Department seeks dynamic and enthusiastic individuals with a Ph.D. in psychology or related discipline, a commitment to undergraduate education, substantial teaching experience (including online teaching), and a willingness to work with a program coordinator for purposes of assessment and quality control.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSThis position requires a Ph.D. in Psychology or related field from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and a willingness to work with a program coordinator for purposes of assessment and quality control. Credentials must be obtained prior to the start date.
