is a nonprofit organization that provides community-based services to empower children and adults with disabilities to live as independently as possible in the least restrictive environment. The agency, through its programs and services, encourages the inclusion of people with disabilities into the mainstream of society, including social, recreational, family and work activities.The Trainer will work in a non-profit corporate matrix environment with SMEs to identify and address training needs across the Agency. Understanding of Adult Learning Theory, instructional design best practices, experience with LMS and e-learning development tools are necessary.Essential FunctionsCollaborate with subject experts to identify training needs for internal stakeholders.Define and document learning objectives.Create instructional material: curriculum, training slides, e-learning modules, videos, guides or training manuals.Design content to optimize learning.Generate the layout of the learning supports.Use monitoring tools and redesign content to ensure it matches the learner’s needs.Create visual, audio and interactive learning tools.Facilitate virtual and in-person training using various media.Utilize various formats including group discussions, lectures, simulations, and videos.Generate test results and analyze training reports.Perform other related duties as needed.Required SkillsUnderstanding or experience of Instructional Design.Excellent verbal and written communication and facilitation skills.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Comfortable delivering training programs to both internal teams and customers.Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Experience with e-learning development software.Experience with LMS and other related software supporting trainings.Experience with assessment tools, data collection and analysis.Strongly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and virtual learning platforms such as Zoom and Webex.Comfortable working in a collaborative environment.Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.Some flexibility to work longer days, after hours or weekends.Required Education and ExperienceAt least three years of corporate training experience required specifically in both technical and professional development areas.Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Training and Development, or a related field preferred.Instructional Design Certification preferred.Experience with non-profit human service agencies preferred.This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and scanners.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and/or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands and fingers and also must be able to reach with hands and arms.
