Field Application Scientist Manager - Southeast

On a daily basis, the Field Application Scientist Regional Manager will meet with FAS’s in their region, provide coaching and guidance, coordinate field activities in support of the selling organization, and participate in the strategic direction of the US FAS organization. Travel to customer sites to observe team members in the field is part of the regular responsibilities, which requires some overnight travel, and the RM needs to be located in their managed region (Southeast US).

An FAS RM is expected to stay up to date on new product introductions, new applications in academic and industry research, to be accountable to revenue targets as well as metrics around team performance. They may present to large groups at meetings and participate in ongoing team projects.

How You’ll Make An Impact:

An FAS Regional Manager is expected to ensure the smooth operation of field support for Bio-Rad’s Life Science customers and internal stakeholders. They do this through recruiting, hiring and onboarding new FAS’s, mentoring and developing the team over time, and addressing any challenges that arise. An FAS RM is accountable to customer satisfaction, voice of customer feedback, and providing optimized support for pre- and post-sales field activities, in coordination with sales leadership.

What You Bring:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Advanced degree in life sciences preferred.

Work Experience: Must have extensive experience in molecular biology techniques, with some relevant experience in at least one of the following: NGS, PCR (qPCR and ddPCR preferred), western blotting, chromatography, and cytometry.

Field support experience in the life science research field is highly preferred.

Prior experience in team leadership or management is a plus.

Compensation:

The estimated base salary range for this position is $130,200 to $179,100 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is also eligible for quarterly commission based on assigned sales quotas.
